My Philosophy

My philosophy is that my relationships, home, work, and physical/mental/emotional wellbeing is a reflection of what I believe, how I feel, and how I think. I call this Freedom Philosophy.

Through this awareness I am able to subtract blame from my experience. I know that no one is more powerful than me in my own life, in this moment. Indeed, the more aware I am of my beliefs, feelings, and thoughts the more real choice I have and exercise.

Of course there is no freedom without God (Spirit, Source, Goddess, Universe, whatever you choose to call It). There is no wisdom, love, compassion, or humor to inform our choices without God either. So freedom philosophy isn't about me alone, but me with God, or deeper still, me as God.

I apply this philosophy to how I work with my students and with my private clients. It is practical, challenging, and empowering. Through subtracting blame and victimhood you are able to align yourself with your true power and true freedom.

I look forward to the opportunity to share this philosophy with you through the practice of meditation, mindfulness, visualization, and journaling.

Krista Magidson has been teaching people how to enrich their lives with guided meditation, visualization, relaxation, and mindfulness techniques since 2001. Krista teaches people how to enrich and empower themselves, their lives and their relationships by giving her clients practical tools and techniques that turn problems into solutions and difficulties into a path of Self-discovery through Guided Meditation, Spiritual Counseling and Relaxation Techniques. Presently, she is the meditation instructor at the Redondo Beach Center for Spiritual Living, Director on the Board of Trustees Redondo Beach Center for Spiritual Living, co-founder of Sanctuary of Peace Ministries, and co-chair for the Peace Makers Gathering and Unity Breakfast. She has been happily married since 1997 and is the mother of two children. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a certificate of Religious Studies, both from CSU Long Beach.     My philosophy for teaching meditation and mindfulness is simple: One, that the variety of breathing, visualization and mindfulness techniques not only feel good but are realistic, easy to do, and applicable to your present lifestyle. Two, to teach you how to begin and sustain a meditation practice at home. Three that by healing your own heart and mind you will be a healing force for your family, your community, and the world. .
